Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame Induction
The Kentucky Athletic Hall of Fame held it induction dinner at the Crowne Plaza on June 9.

- Louise Wilson, well-known Kentucky golf champion and a member of the Athletic Hall of Fame, and Alfred Simon
- John Paddock, Bill Rothwell, Bunny and Allan Parnell and Cindy and David Collier.
- Jim Ellis, president of the Hall of Fame, Curtiss Scott, Vicky Weber, William O’Connor and Pete Compise.
- Insurance executive Ron Sheer and his wife, Terry Sheer, former assistant athletic director and field hockey coach at Eastern High School.
- Cindy Collier sang the national anthem while her father, Allan Parnell, accompanied her on the piano. Cindy and her father are executives of Mister “P” Express.
- Caley and Zeke Chapman, of Scottsdale Ariz. Zeke will play basketball for Ball State in Indiana beginning this fall.
- Besty Cowan, Liz Lewis and Donna Moir, all graduates of Sacred Heart Academy.
- Attorney Steve Romines visited with Rex Chapman.
- Athletic Hall of Fame President Jim Ellis presented a plaque to Artis Gilmore, formerly with the Kentucky Colonels basketball team. The plaque will be displayed at Freedom Hall.
