Wild & Scenic Film Festival
Kentucky Waterways Alliance is bringing the Wild & Scenic Film Festival back to Louisville for the fifth year. The festival will be presented on March 2 from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Clifton Center’s Eifler Theatre, 2117 Payne St. This year’s selections will not only take audiences to some of the most remote and beautiful places on the planet, but introduce them to the magnificent animals that inhabit these places and the courageous individuals who are working to protect and preserve both for future generations. The films instill a deep appreciation and a sense of wonder for the natural world that surrounds and supports us. The festival aims not only to entertain, but also to educate and inspire the audience to create positive change on the planet. Appetizers and adult refreshments will be provided at a VIP opening reception that is free to KWA members or $25 for the public. The price includes a film ticket plus a one-year KWA membership and entrance to the VIP reception. Film tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased at KWA’s Louisville office, 120 Webster St. Suite 217, or online at www.donationpay.org/kwalliance/wsfftickets2013.php.
