UofL SCHOOL OF MUSIC concerts

The University of Louisville’s School of Music is holding several concert events in January and February. All events are held at the School of Music, which is located at the corner of West Cardinal Boulevard and South First Street on the University of Louisville Belknap Campus. On Jan. 26 at 7 p.m., there will be a free Invitational Honor Band performance in Comstock Concert Hall. On Jan. 28 at 7:30 p.m., in Bird Recital Hall, there will be a free concert of University Jazz Combos. On Jan. 29, faculty artist Sidney King will present a free double bass performance, at 8 p.m. in Comstock Concert Hall. On Feb. 3 at 5 p.m. in Comstock Concert Hall, guest artists Kentucky Center Chamber Players will be performing “L’Histoire du Soldat” by Igor Stravinsky, with members of the Louisville Ballet. Admission for this event is $12; $10 for seniors age 65 and over; and $2 for students with ID. Tickets may be purchased at the door. All four events are open to the public.
