Losar Activities
This year Losar will be a quiet commeration due to the unrest in Tibet. The Central Tibetan Administration has asked us to remember those who have self immolated and to pray for all who are suffering from violence. As we celebrate Losar, let us honor and pray for the brave Tibetans who have given their lives for Tibet.
Saying “Thank You” to Our Geshes
Perhaps you would like to thank Geshe Rapgyal and Geshe Sangay for being our teachers and guides with a small monetary donation or another New Year offering. It would be customary to put a donation gift in an envelope and then take it to each one of them sometime during the day on Feb. 22nd (the beginning of Losar) or anytime until Feb. 26th. If you are unable to make an offering, please do not let that deter you from participating in the Losar events.
