The Bully Plays
Assumption High School proudly welcomes audiences to The Bully Plays. The Bully Plays were commissioned in response to the growing epidemic of bullying and the all-too-often tragic results. Five 10-minute plays that are touching, imaginative, powerful, uplifting and funny will be performed Feb. 7 and 8 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 10 at 2 p.m. in Assumption High School’s Humana Foundation Performing and Fine Arts Center, 2170 Tyler Lane. This production is part of the BLOOM Theatre Project, Assumption’s social justice theatre program produced by the Rose Theatre Company in conjunction with Mission Week. The set will be a “bare stage” leaving the focus on the actors and the subject matter. BLOOM hopes that by watching a light-hearted approach to the heavy topic, middle-school students will take to heart the truths about bullying. This show is free of admission, as Assumption considers it a gift to the community. Reserve a free ticket and seat online at www.ahsrockets.org or by calling 502.458.2636.
