The eighth annual Swashbucklers Ball will take place Jan. 19 at the Seelbach Hotel, 500 S. Fourth St., from 6:30 to 11:45 p.m. The event benefits St. Mary’s Center, a non-profit, non-denominational organization serving teens and adults with intellectual disabilities. The party includes Caribbean cuisine, live music, dancing, silent and live auctions and chances to win spectacular prizes. The emcee for the evening will be Karen Roby, former news anchor at WLKY-TV.
