MICHAEL POLLAN & WENDELL BERRY
Carmichael’s Bookstore is thrilled to host a very special event featuring two of the most respected people on the planet regarding local food economies: Michael Pollan and Wendell Berry. The event will be held May 1 at 7 p.m. at The Clifton Center’s Eifler Auditorium, 2117 Payne St., and marks the publication of Michael Pollan’s newest book, “Cooked: A History of Transformation.” He and Mr. Berry will discuss the book, food, agriculture, and whatever else they choose in what promises to be an entertaining and informative event. The discussion will be followed by a book signing. Tickets are $30 and include admission, a hardcover copy of Cooked and a designated place in the book-signing line. Seating will be general admission but the signing will be organized in the order of ticket purchase. A portion of proceeds from this event will be donated the Kentuckians for the Commonwealth.
