Mardi Gras Gala
The Cerebral Palsy School of Louisville Foundation will be adding new enticements to its eighth annual Mardi Gras Gala to benefit the Mattingly Center, Inc. The annual soiree will be held for the first time at the Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center, 1860 Mellwood Ave., on Jan. 26, from 6 p.m. until 1 a.m. The festivities will include cocktails, dinner, dancing, raffles, a photo booth and both silent and live auctions. New attractions this year will be live music provided by long-time Louisville favorite, Thumper and the Plaid Rabbits; the addition of the Bourbon Street Lounge After Party for those who wish to join the festivities after dinner; and gaming tables for revelers eager to try their luck at winning Mattingly Bucks to spend on auction items and raffle tickets. Cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, raffles and a silent auction will begin the evening at 6 p.m., followed by dinner, a complimentary bar, the live auction and dancing. Tickets are $125 per person or $1,000 for a table of eight. The Bourbon Street Lounge After Party will begin at 9 p.m. and includes late-night munchies, a complimentary bar and all other Gala activities until 1 a.m. Tickets for the After Party are $75 per person.
