“LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE”
Eve Theatre Company will present the Louisville premiere of “Love, Loss and What I Wore” at the Henry Clay Theatre, 604 S. Third St., Nov. 1 through 18. The play was written by the late Nora Ephron and her sister, Delia Ephron, based on the bestselling book by Ilene Beckerman. The script is a series of monologues and ensemble pieces about women, clothes and memories, covering all of the important subjects – mothers, prom dresses, mothers, buying bras, mothers, hating purses, mothers and why women only wear black. It features five actresses in very simple surroundings designed to focus on the clothes they remember and the ensuing moments of revelation. Performances are Nov. 1-4, 8-11 and 15-18. Thursday through Saturday curtains are at 7:30 p.m. Sunday matinees are at 2:30 p.m. Tickets are $22, or $19 for students, seniors and groups of ten or more. This production proudly supports Dress for Success Louisville and audience members are invited to donate gently used professional women’s clothing in the theatre lobby. An Opening Night reception, sponsored by “Little Black Dress Vodka” will start at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 1 in the lobby. For tickets, call 502.583.8222. For information visit www.evetheatrecompany.com.
