Flight of the Butterflies

The Louisville Science Center, 727 W. Main St., has begun screening the new IMAX film, “Flight of the Butterflies.”  The film captures the iconic monarch butterfly’s amazing adventure during the longest migration on earth through the U.S. and Canada to Mexico.  More than 40 butterfly specimens from the Science Center’s permanent collection will also be on display in the Science Center’s Discovery Gallery, along with a new installation of vintage hats in the exhibit Hats! Reflections in Time. IMAX tickets are $5 for members and $7 for non-members.  For tickets and show times, visit www.LouisvilleScience.org. The Science Center will also host a premiere event, called the Bugs and Butterflies Flutterby, for Flight of The Butterflies in the Discovery Gallery on November 4.  Admission to Hats! Reflections in Time is included with Science Center admission, which is $13 for adults, $11 for children ages 2-12, and free for members.
