DramaWorks Summer Camps

StageOne Family Theatre is offering its DramaWorks Summer Camps in partnership with Lincoln Performing Arts Elementary School, 930 E. Main St., June 10 through Aug. 2 with half-day and full-day options. StageOne’s drama classes encourage students aged 4 to 18 to explore the fundamentals of acting and movement through the use of their body, voice and imagination to gain a better understanding of themselves and the world around them. Young students act out stories and become their favorite characters with imaginative play, while older students build their performance skills – all with the professional guidance of StageOne Family Theatre’s artists/educators. There are 17 creative camps for students of all ages including Happily Ever After: Knights and Princesses, Broadway Playground, Underwater Adventures and Superheroes, as well as Improvisation and Acting Techniques, plus full-day camps for Movie Magic, Disney’s Beauty and the Beast, Fame, Jr. and Technical Theatre Intensive. One-week half-day camps will run from 9 a.m. to noon and from 1 to 4 p.m. Three-week full-day camps  will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Camps are $145 to $400, depending on the class.
