Commissioner Barbara Noland retirement

On Monday, October 22 City of Druid Hills will honor retiring City Commissioner Barbara Noland. She will be honored at the City’s annual Public Meeting held in the Fellowship Hall of Broadway Baptist Church, 4000 Brownsboro Road. The meeting will begin at 7:00 PM.

Mayor Ben Franklin will present Mrs. Noland with a proclamation from Metro councilman Ken Fleming congratulating her on more than 20 years of service as a City of Druid Hills Commissioner. During her tenure Mrs. Noland has been instrumental in the City’s efforts to preserve it’s mature trees and to beautify it’s entrances. She is affectionally known within the city as the “Tree Lady”!

Mayor Franklin will also present an engraved silver julep cup to Mrs. Noland as a token of appreciation from the residents of Druid Hills.

Mrs. Noland is a long-time subscriber and an avid reader of your paper and would be thrilled if a Voice photographer attended this event. if you need any additional info please call 502-895-9168.
