CATCH Healthy Habits Fall Classes for Kids
ElderServe Inc. in partnership with OASIS is kicking off CATCH Healthy Habits fall classes, a fun, inter-generational program that combats childhood obesity. Elementary school children can learn about good food choices, share healthy snacks and play fun, active games. Adult volunteers are still needed. The program is funded by a grant by Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation, and meets weekly for one hour. Participants can choose from three programs: from 6 to 7 p.m. at Midwest Church of Christ, 2115 Garland Ave., now through Dec. 21; from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at Americana Community Center, Inc., 4801 Southside Drive, from Sept. 17 through Nov. 5; or from 5 to 6 p.m. at Louisville Central Community Center, 1300 Muhammand Ali Blvd, Sept. 27 through Nov. 15.
