Alzheimer’s Association Programs

The Alzheimer’s Association is hosting several upcoming programs to help families and individuals dealing with Alzheimer’s disease. “Living with Alzheimer’s for Caregivers: Early Stage” will be the topic Oct. 10  from 6 to 8 p.m. at Masonic Homes of Kentucky, 3503 Moyers Circle. On Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon, the topic will be “Legal and Financial Planning,” at the Alzheimer’s Association, Kaden Towers, 6100 Dutchmans Lane, Suite 401. “Intimacy, Sexuality and Dementia,” will be Oct. 18 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Alzheimer’s Association. On Oct. 22 from noon to 3 p.m., “Best Friends” will be the topic of a program teaching a new approach for caregivers, at Chapel House, 945 S. Fifth St. “Driving and Dementia” will be the topic Oct. 23 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Alzheimer Association. “Managing Caregiver Stress” will be the final program, Oct. 29 from 1 to 2:30 at the Alzheimer’s Association. A $5 donation is suggested for all events and preregistration is required at 1.800.272.3900.
