African-American Genealogy Lecture


Celebrate African-American History Month with The African-American Genealogy Group of Kentucky and the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution, Feb. 16 from 10:30 a.m. to noon, at  a lecture held at the SAR Genealogical Research Library, 809 W. Main St. Dr. Marion T. Lane will present “America’s Forgotten African American Patriots.” She is the author of “Patriots of African Descent in the Revolutionary War” and “More Than One Ancestry.” Joseph W. Dooley will present “The Vandervall-Coots Lineage: A Case Study in African-American Genealogy.” He is the Secretary General of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution.
