Thousands of Louisvillians tuned in to NBC last Sunday to watch the 68th Golden Globes.

Not Ali Navigar, Kevin Harned, Tim Corrigan and Larry Sinclair.

The quartet watched the annual event alongside dozens of Hollywood’s hottest stars.

“You name it, we talked to them,” said Larry.

“It was amazing,” said Kevin, who took a break from forecasting weather for WAVE 3 to attend what is now their second time seeing the awards show live. “It was crazy. Just when we thought we couldn’t top last year.”

After the awards, the fellas attended after-parties thrown by NBC Universal, HBO and FOX. There they rubbed shoulders with the glitterati, most of whom agreed Golden Globes host Ricky Gervais had hit below-the-belt with many of his jokes.

“There were so many big-time celebrities. They were everywhere, and they were so nice,” Larry said.

Except for a certain former “90210″ star who lived up to her rep as a mean girl.

Paris Hilton, on the other hand, was an absolute gem, said Larry, who invited the socialite to come back to Louisville and attend this year’s Kentucky Derby. (She said she’d love to. Stay tuned.)

The only hitch in the whole trip – from Larry’s perspective – was the photo Kevin took of him with actress Anne Hathaway. “I could kill Kevin! The picture is blurry,” he laughed.

Of course the photo Kevin posed for with “Mad Men” star January Jones was picture perfect.

“It was unbelievable how beautiful she was. Her dress was just flat-out amazing,” he said, uttering the understatement of the year. The actress wore a sizzling red Versace gown that still has people talking.

“The experience was just incredible,” said Kevin. “I don’t know how we’re going to top it next year – but we will.”

Gutter Ball Bash

Please forgive me for mixing sports analogies, but last week’s Gutter Ball Bash bowling tournament at Vernon Lanes was a home run.

The fifth annual event raised about $14,000 – more than double the donations from last year. The money is going to The Academy at Saint Andrew’s, a school that provides a supportive environment to children with developmental disabilities, particularly autism.

The bash was conceived several years by a group of former college pals: Justin Baker, Terry Clagett, Mark Hurst, Nick Moyer, David Ramage, Derrick Ramage, Mark Robich, Gene Snowden, Andy Stubblefield, Lee Vish and Jonathan Wolczyk.

The fellas decided they’d throw a low-key yearly charity event as a way to give back to their community.

We should be proud they’re a part of ours.
