By the time you read this column, I should be in Haiti with Agape Flights, a Christian-based mission group. As I’ve written previously, I’m covering the experience for a story that will run in The Voice-Tribune, as well as a package that will air on WHAS11.
Before I left, a group of friends met me at Seviche for a small gathering that meant so much. There’s nothing like being in the midst of people who care about and support you to make you feel … so much.
Forgive me for the brevity of this week’s column, but I hope you’ll understand there are only enough hours in the day – and night – and many of mine have been spent preparing to share the tale about how Louisvillians are making an incredible impact in Haiti.
Check back next week for Derby Dish about an exciting event The Voice-Tribune will host the first week in May.
