Best Dressed: This Was The Best Yet!

| August 24, 2011

Voting for The Voice-Tribune’s Best Dressed of Louisville Presented by Churchill Downs is closed. And let me just say, the public’s involvement this year has been off the charts. Check out our online coverage to see what everyone in Louisville is talking about.

Over the course of the three-week voting period, the lead change between nominees was as thrilling as the Kentucky Derby.

While most of you have been counting down the days until the curtain is pulled back for the sixth annual fashion show, the BD committee has been working tirelessly to try and outdo last year’s show.

GagaIf you were lucky enough to attend BD2010, you certainly understand the challenge we are facing. Steve Wilson and Laura Lee Brown’s rendition of Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” was one of the highlights of the evening – a challenge I wouldn’t wish upon my worst enemy!

The Voice-Tribune is exceedingly grateful to the sponsors that continue to support us and make this event possible.

Not only do our loyal sponsors enable us to bring Louisville such a high-caliber show, but the partnership also allows us to help make a difference in our community. Community service never feels like a responsibility or an obligation. It is innate, and I never feel better about how I have spent my time than when helping those in need.

The benefiting charity for the second year is Dress for Success Louisville.

Each year tickets are in high demand, and this year has been like no other. Runway tickets have been sold out for more than a week, with a wait list for those who decided not to purchase tickets early.

If you’re feeling left out, there may be a few tables up for grabs. Call The Voice-Tribune at 502.897.8900.
