Nominees walked the runway at Best Dressed 2010.

Now that nominations for The Voice-Tribune’s Best Dressed of Louisville Presented by Churchill Downs are all in, it’s time to begin the revealing process to see which women, men and couples will be asked to strut down the runway on Aug. 27 all in the name of giving back to charity.

Finding a worthy organization was not a challenge, but reconnecting with Dress for Success Louisville seemed like the perfect match for our event. It was an easy choice for the team at The Voice-Tribune to add something meaningful to our repertoire and have a little fun along the way.

Our fashion producer Douglas Riddle has worked in the graces of some of the leading names in the industry. He brings with him the expertise of New York’s finest fashion shows. Ron Wolz, our interior design leader, will transform the Louisville Marriott Downtown into a red carpet-worthy showplace. Let’s just say it’s as though you’ve stepped foot in another city, but without increasing your sky miles.

Without the loyal support of our sponsors, Best Dressed would only be a dream. Their continuous partnership over the years allows us to bring Louisville an event unlike no other in town. We appreciate each partnership and understand the value of building business relationships.

Over the next 10 weeks, we will be revealing women, men and couples who will  take their place on this year’s Best Dressed list. After all nominees are disclosed, you will be summoned back to vote Aug. 5 through 24 at You may vote once a day in each of the categories. The public’s involvement is a key instrument to the overall success, and for that reason, we encourage you to get involved. Be sure to mark your calendar for Aug. 27 for an evening full of surprises and entertainment.
