Party time is upon us
Sue Baughman closed out November and welcomed the holiday season with an afternoon cocktail party for “the girls” at her home in Rivers Edge. The holiday decorations were up, and so were everyone’s spirits.
Then on Saturday, she had a cocktail supper to welcome the Christmas season. It is always a treat to go to Sue’s home and see her decorations and partake of her incredible edibles.
Vivian and John Korfhage, Joe Seay, Sug and Dan Schusterman, Margaret and Dan Woodside, Jean and Billy Shewciw, Janet Falk, Davis Edwards, Steve Bass, Linda and Glynn Humphrey and Lori and David Osborne were among the merrymakers.
New, smart, fun
Louisville has been blessed with some new blood who are smart, charming, handsome and lots of fun.
John Shaw Woo and Dr. Shiao Woo have moved here from Houston, and we are lucky. Shiao is the head of radiology at the University of Louisville. He was at MD Anderson for years.
John is getting them organized and settled. He was the general contractor for the house renovation.
They have bought a three-story Victorian brick home in Old Louisville and filled it with fabulous oriental art. There also is a grand piano for John who is quite accomplished. The basement, which came with its original dirt floor, has been modernized and there is a handsome overflow dining room there.
The backyard has been excavated and a luxurious swimming pool has been installed.
Mark Pfeiffer, Jim Taylor, Bonnie and Harold Cohen, Teri and Steve Bass, Mary Gwen Wheeler and David Jones Jr. were among the guests at a recent party.
John and Shiao are charming and funny and making friends wherever they go.
Shiao was born in Shanghai, and John is from Malaysia between Penang and Kuala Lampur.
