It never fails once we hit the month of July; the rest of the summer seems to break all speed records as it races toward the beginning of another school year. And browsing the aisles of Target is a sure reminder too, as school supplies are stocked in abundance. It’s also the time when my kiddos need to pick up the pace with their summer reading requirements. Sleeping in late and hanging out by the pool with friends is about to come to a screeching halt.
While I am certainly not wishing the summer away at this high-rate speed, it is an indication that The Voice-Tribune’s BD2012, presented by Churchill Downs, is fast approaching too! Effective teamwork is essential in the production of Best Dressed. We’ve been working together for four years with the same goal in mind: to bring Louisville another unforgettable show. Realizing that our event is successful due to the continuous support of our loyal sponsors, we truly appreciate the generosity of each sponsor and value the relationship and trust we have forged together over the years.
As the summer dwindles, we quickly approach the time when all the nominees will be revealed for this year’s show. This is when you need to get involved in the voting process. The best part about Best Dressed is that you, the reader, get to decide the winners of each category. So make sure you pay close attention over the coming weeks to find out when the voting begins! The window to cast your vote will be closed before you know it.
How hard is it to get the seats of your choice at the event of the year? Well, this is not the time to be a procrastinator. This year will be no different than years past – we will sell out! Don’t be left behind. To purchase tickets, visit our website at www.voice-tribune.com. VIP lounges for 10 are $2,500, tables for six are $1,200, tables for four are $800 and runway seating is $135.
