For almost a week the world has turned their focus to the summer Olympics in London. This is the time when the whole world gets together and all attention is on one event. We watch world-class athletes who have given up so much of their lives just for the opportunity to perform in the sport they love. It goes without saying that every Olympian dreams of standing on the podium, with the words of his or her national anthem playing for the world to hear.
Now is also the time to turn to your focus back to Louisville for a moment, as The Voice-Tribune reveals all the nominees for Best Dressed of Louisville presented by Churchill Downs. Take a look at the nominees you selected to take part in Louisville’s premier fashion show. Beginning next Thursday, we need you, the public, to get involved in the voting process. You have three weeks to cast your vote for the women, men and couples who will be honored this year as some of Louisville’s Best Dressed.
It’s hard to believe that another summer is coming to a close and the hallways of schools will be flooded with kids. We can all sense it – that tiny little pit in our stomachs as Labor Day weekend approaches, that bittersweet feeling of the last hurrah of summer. But, before you let your mood turn blue, keep in mind that the BD2012 team is working non-stop and promises to outdo last year’s highly successful show. These promises, we realize, are made possible by the continuous support of our loyal and generous sponsors.
So, as we work on the finishing touches for BD2012, we need you to visit our website at www.voice-tribune.com and vote for the women, men and couples who will be called back on stage to accept their trophies, at the seventh annual Best Dressed of Louisvile presented by Churchill Downs.
Be sure to secure your spot and purchase your tickets early for the show. VIP lounges for 10 are $2,500, tables for six are $1,200, tables for four are $800 and runway seating is $135. You can purchase your tickets by visiting our website as listed above. Don’t be left out this year – order your tickets today for BD2012.
