As Jacob Sotsky closed the door on his 20s, another door opened with a promotion from his current employer, Jacobsen-Daniels Associates, a planning and implementation consultant firm in the transportation industry. The new position will take Jacob from his native Louisville to company offices in the heart of New Orleans.
As with any great opportunity, this one didn’t come without hard work and some personal sacrifice. Jacob managed to work his way up the ranks of a national firm while completing his MBA from the University of Louisville by the age of 30. As for making such a big move from his hometown, he said, “The move is a little bittersweet, since my entire family is from and lives in Louisville.”
The support of family, and a lot of friends, was evident at a congratulatory going-away party held Dec. 18 at O’Shea’s on Main.
Many of Jacob’s friends were there to show their support, bid him good luck and, most importantly, place dibs on their weekend as guest to his fabulous apartment near the French Quarter!
