Commonwealth Bank & Trust Co. hosted a Spring/Derby Fashion Preview for customers and guests on April 14 at The Olmsted.
Hundreds of guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres and shopping from local boutiques. Hair by Bennie and Friends provided makeup and styling for the models who were employees of Commonwealth Bank.
Participating boutiques included Circe, Croquis Boutique, Clodhoppers, Etcetera Trunk Show Fashions, Serendipity, Rodeo Drive and Dillard’s Men.
There are still a variety of events to attend during Derby Week. On Thursday, May 5, mingle with celebs, athletes and poker pros as Denny Crum, Phil Hellmuth and Robert Williamson host the Celebrity Poker Tournament and Party to benefit Blessings in a Backpack and HCF (Health and Climate Foundation) at The Palace Theatre. Oaks Eve marks the return of The Mint Jubilee, which will be hosted by Bob Costas at The Palace Theatre to benefit cancer research. Costas will be joined by American Idols Kris Allen and Jordin Sparks and many other celebs. Tickets are going fast, so log on to www.MintJubilee.org to get yours.
Silks in Bluegrass
Derby Night festivities include the 2010 Silks In the Bluegrass Derby Night charity fundraiser to be held at Crowne Plaza to benefit Operation Open Arms, a nonprofit dedicated to providing care for children whose mothers are in prison. For tickets, visit www.oparms.org.
