Dining with the Kellys

Johnna and John Kelly treated friends to a fabulous dinner soiree at their home on Hill Road on April 2.

John Kelly, sales director for Sam Swope Honda, is a culinary wizard in the kitchen. He and Johnna love to entertain and always plan a multi-course menu that is to-die-for and much-anticipated by their circle of friends and family.

Saturday evening’s spread started off with a fresh tuna carpaccio salsa and wine-infused mussels. We then moved on to a delightful lobster risotto, tasty crabcakes and our choice of scrumptious rack of lamb and beef tenderloin.

We can’t forget about the wine, especially at the Kellys, who always pull out some very good vintages from their impressive wine collection for guests to try.  The favorite was a 1995 bottle of Pichon. It was exquisite.

Betsey alert: The exuberant, embellished and over-the-top fashion icon rocked the Lexus Nashville Fashion Week’s runway last week with her fab fashions.

Among her designer peers was Christian Siriano (Project Runway ‘10), who was in Louisville recently to support Runway & Rescue for the Shelby County Humane Society.
