Animal Instinct

| October 24, 2011

Inside of every person is an primal force waiting to come out, and we call this a spirit animal. Like the zodiac signs, there is a wide range of animals that symbolize different facets of one’s personality. For example, some Native American tribes believe that their ancestors evolved from wolves. In times of need they are able to harness the power of the wolf to help their people. So yeah, werewolves maybe or may not be real.

But if you don’t buy all this magic hullabaloo, you can still buy a pretty cool new fashion trend. Spirit Hoods come in a range of animals, from Panda bear to Red Wolf (which I happen to embody with my own hood). Celebrities are getting in on this spirit animal trend too.  From Vanessa Hudgens to the Kardashians, celebs are doning their animals with pride. And don’t worry, these hoods are 100% faux fur, and part of the proceeds benefit charities that help animals. I like to wear my hood for fun, for warmth, or simply just because. But if you’re looking for a last-minute Halloween costume, this could be your call from the wild.
