What Are You Doing For “Give A Day” Week? Step up and help others April 13-21
What are you doing for this year’s Give A Day week? People of all ages will be helping Brightside clean up neighborhoods; students will be helping collect and sort food for needy families; company employees will plant trees and paint playgrounds; there will even be a “flash mob” with hundreds taking to the streets to raise awareness and aid the campaign against child abuse.
Friendliness Reigns At Good Shepherd
The second week of the 2013 Fish Fry Challenge is in the books, and the Fryars are 2 for 2. Last Friday we visited Good Shepherd, formerly known as Our Lady before its merger with St. Cecilia and St. Anthony, and one of the most historic parishes in Louisville. Located on Rudd Avenue in Portland, it’s one of the last remaining Catholic parishes in this friendly, celebrated neighborhood.
