In just a few days, one of the most highly-anticipated exhibitions to travel the world will open its doors to the public once again, this time from inside Louisville’s own Frazier History Museum.
Scene & Snapped: This week in parties, the 2012 Kentucky Bombay Sapphire GQ Magazine Most Imaginative Bartender final was held at The Ice House, the Louisville Water Tower hosted the annual Kentucky Bluegrass Music & Burgoo Festival, brothers Art, Dennis and Mike Potter threw the “tailgate party of all tailgates” and Mayor Greg Fischer announced the 25-year Vision Louisville initiative at the 2012 Leadership Louisville Luncheon.
Scene & Snapped: This week in parties, Speed Park was filled with more than 100 of the nation’s finest artisans during the 22nd annual Art in Speed Park event, men and women representing 49 states and 25 countries raced in the sixth Ironman Louisville, The Greater Louisville UK Alumni Club and Central Bank presented the Wildcat Kickoff Luncheon and triathletes and fellow running enthusiasts paraded downtown in their underwear and other unique costumes during the fourth annual Underpants Run.

Scene & Snapped: This week in parties, party-goers livened up the dog days of summer with refreshing Tiki-inspired cocktails from Bacardi at the Third Thursday After-Work Tiki Party held at scenic Captain’s Quarters, Louisville Uncorked held a summer tasting at the Frazier History Museum to benefit Big Brothers Big Sisters of Kentuckiana, Kentucky Humane Society held its Tuxes & Tails benefit auction and gala, and Dr. Ronald Levine was honored with the Planned Parenthood of Kentucky (PPKY) Founder’s Award during the annual Birds & Bees Bash.
Scene & Snapped: This Week In Parties, Louisville’s unique boutique, Sunny Daize, hosted a fun-filled Best Dressed Pre-Party, attendees enjoyed a delicious dinner and discussion at Masorti: The Fight For Religious Pluralism in Israel, the Louisville Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America held its monthly luncheon and thousands of Louisvillians made a difference in the lives of local children by attending the 163rd annual St. Joseph Orphans’ Picnic.
Scene & Snapped: This week in parties, family and friends held a 60th birthday bash for Jack Richardson, Mayor Greg Fischer and UofL President James Ramsey unveiled a model of the green roof that will grace first new building at Nucleus Innovation Park, Barry Roth and J.P. Davis hosted the third annual Bourbon and Bluegrass with Barry event and The Shamrock Pet Foundation celebrated its 20th anniversary at Art for the Animals.
